It's Starting Again!

Lacrosse season is here!!!!

Yesterday I drove out to Colgate University to catch the scrimmage between Cornell and Colgate. Of course, I got lost trying to find the field and missing about the first 10 minutes of the game-I showed up and it was 6-1 Cornell, and looking like it was about to be a rout with the score 9-1 at the end of the first. Why had I driven an hour to sit in the cold for this?
Then Colgate came storming back, pretty much dominated the rest of the game, but still came up short after 4 quarters 15-14. Let's discuss how in 3 quarters Colgate killed 13-6? Too bad a game (scrimmage) is 4 quarters. They plated a 20 minute running 5th quarter, but at this point my booty and toes were FROZEN and I couldn't hang. Plus I had a basketball game at 4 to get back for.

Next weekend I'm heading out for another scrimmage "nearby"-aka an hour and 45 minutes away. But Hop is coming up, so I can't not go, you know? It's Hop!! Games don't start up here until March-ish, which is a slight departure from the mid-february game games that I'm used to down in Virginia. Once March hits, though. Watch out.

I am so excited!!!

  1. I can't wait to see some lacrosse! Inside lacrosse just interviewed all 14 new DI head coaches. Brother was one...can't wait to see what they publish!

  2. I've never really gotten into lacrosse personally - college football and a little baseball are as much as my heart can handle - but it's HUGE where I'm from in VA. My aunt is a big fan of UVA's team - she's at most all of their games, men and women, religiously :)
