bfffl.

So earlier I was watching (part of) Two Weeks Notice starring Hugh Grant and Sandra Bullock. It's a cute movie, I enjoy it. What caught my attention though, is how much the initial friendship between Hugh and Sandra's characters reminds me of mine with my friend ARD. I'm not talking about the he gives her ulcers and drives her crazy and she works for him aspect, but the constant communication and getting to the point where they automatically eat off each other's plates the things that the other doesn't like. I'm not saying those things specifically (though actually, we are constantly texting or calling or emailing through the day) but the general sense of closeness.

This past weekend while I was in Roanoke, ARD was also in town for the weekend, in between job training stops (last week he was in Norfolk, now he's down in Atlanta) visiting his parents. Even though we were in town for totally different things, we met up. So I could help him with shoe shopping and to go out to lunch. I love that when we see each other, it can be something so mundane that we do, but it ends up being so much fun and so nice getting the opportunity to spend that time together. Now that we both have jobs, its harder than it was before (not that it was ever especially easy) to see each other, and I am so glad we care enough to try.

And now, I leave with an awesome picture of the socks he brought to try on the shoes. I practically died laughing when he pulled them on. They were almost up to his knees.

So sexy. Can't control it.
