There is No Place Like This Place Anywhere Near This Place

First off, I would just like to say (even though he doesn't read this) Happy Wedding Day to my amazing older (and only) brother and his wonderful fiancee (soon to be wife! Hi, Lauren!)

I can't wait to share pictures with you all and tell you about some of the things that happened this weekend-hopefully this blogging challenge will help me be more accountable with sharing things like that!

Okay, moving on. 6 places:

1. On the dock in the sun at North Pond in Alder Creek. Heaven knows I would spend everyday all summer out there if the weather agreed. It's just an amazing, calming place and experience. Honestly, I am so much more a mountain/lake girl than a beach girl.
2. Any stadium watching a lacrosse game. Obviously I have my preferences (Homewood Field, Tullai Field, Donald J. Kerr Stadium...) but I will take anything. Any weather. Any time of day.
3. The patio in the barnyard at my parent's house. Preferably with a drink and daddy grilling a steak.
4. The Rock on Bid Day. The incredible excitement surrounding meeting your new girls with silly string and confetti and air horns and watching them come across the back quad to you...in addition to the excitement, the feelings of dread and complete and utter failure at watching ONE girl come to you all during formal recruitment. That business...
5. Roanoke College Commons. I could sit in there for hours talking with friends, sorority sisters, my old boss, professors...watching people come in and out, knowing exactly where they will sit based on greek/athletic affiliation (or lack thereof, not that there is anything wrong with that) and not having to move all day once I was there.
6. Mac & Bobs. So much of my college experience was based around working and playing there. While I never, ever want to work there again (the anxiety dreams are enough, thanks), I daydream about the food and the atmosphere at least once a week.

Lots of memories...
