I went home on Wednesday evening and got to spend Thanksgiving with my parents and one of my sisters. Let's have a quick talk about the meal we ate on Thursday:
-Lamb on the grill
-Regular sized turkey
-Stuffing
-Corn Casserole
-Peas
-Mashed potatoes
-Rolls
-Pumpkin, Pecan, and Apple pie.
That was for 4 people. FOUR PEOPLE. We're kind of fat kids. Good thing Milty and I went for a run that morning...
Friday morning Mom, Milt and I went Black Friday shopping, though mostly for business attire for Milt's semester in NYC in the spring. Mom bought me a top from Anthro and I got a bunch of workout clothes from Old Navy (though I should've held out for their Cyber Monday sale). Unfortunately, I was a Selfish Sally and didn't get anything for anyone else but moi.
Now, before I get into things that transpired on my Saturday evening, can I just say, WTF!?!?!?
Just to give you an idea of what's to come, haha.
So Saturday night I met up with my friend A and we went downtown to stay and her friend B's house and go out. B and R showed up a little later than us at B's house, then we went out. I had to drive back to New York the next day, so I was not exactly going balls to the wall drunky face. I went with two beers and two shots for the entire evening.
We get back to B's house and A gets a phone call from D, an old boyfriend of hers we had seen out earlier that evening, and she proceeds to invite him over to catch up. I curl up on the small couch and attempt that whole sleep thing.
Well, D came over. and there was a lot of talking. And then some sounds that were most definitely NOT TALKING. yeah. Think about the kind of noises you don't want to hear in the same room as you that you aren't making. THOSE SOUNDS.
I thought things like that were supposed to stop after college...?
So pretty much as soon as it was acceptable to be awake (aka when my alarm went off) I was up and out of there like a rocket. And proceeded to go home, pack and hightail my booty back here.
So there you have it folks. My Thanksgiving Recap.
Hope you enjoyed hearing about that whole....thing.
More then a turkey got stuffed! Hahahahahahahaha! Sorry, that was SO cheesy I had too.
