So like I said, Preppy Girl Meets World tagged me in this fun game going around, and I finally made it to participate! I hope you learn something about me along the way.
The Rules:
1) You must post the rules.
2) Post eleven fun facts about yourself on the blog post.
3) Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post, and then create eleven new questions to ask the people you've tagged.
4) Tag eleven people and link them on your post.
5) Let them know you've tagged them.
11 Fun Facts:
1) This year, to best plan out my spring, I made a calendar. For all the lacrosse games I plan to attend. yeah.
2) After 1.5 winters (this one isn't over yet) in the North Country, I finally feel mostly confident about my abilities to drive in the snow.
3) I prefer Twitter to Facebook. Facebook has gone insane, and people go overboard. Sure, people could post the same thing on Twitter and I wouldn't blink an eye, but that's what I think Twitter is there for. The overshare.
4) I have four paintings done by one of my uncles hanging in my apartment, and two by my sister (in my bedroom). I also have a photograph done by a past student. They are probably my favorite things in my apartment.
5) I received a Kindle last year for Christmas, and have yet to purchase a "legitimate" book on it. I only download free or like, $3 or less books. Otherwise, I want to own the hard copy of the book.
6) Wearing neon colored clothing to the gym makes me happy.
7) I have pretty much figured out the effects that different alcohols have on me as a drunk person. For example, beer? makes me cry. gin? makes me happy. vodka? makes me angry.
8) I went to summer camp for 4 years. In my fourth year I was an AC and left two weeks into it. Mostly because the girls that I was ACing were none of the girls that I had been friends with the previous 2 years (at this camp) and I felt very much an outsider. And then they all got drunk one night and almost got everyone in trouble, so I was over it.
9) I have picked up a lot of habits from my parents. For example, whenever one of us kids would say we didn't like something (food, homework, whatever) my mom would reply, "it doesn't like you either, it called me and told me." uhhh yeah. Guess who does that now. My habits from my father fall more along the lines of licking the plate clean when there is leftover maple syrup on it. (overshare? gross? sorry I'm not sorry.)
10) I think the NBA is a joke. Like, for real. It's all offense. Just big names running back and fourth across the court scoring points. Where's the D???? Nope, no thanks.
11) Since I've started attempting to control my diet/be better at working out, I've lost 12ish pounds. Most of this weight loss came in the New Year, ha! I started in August, lost a little, maintained through travel season, gained a little after Thanksgiving, then about a week ago I had another appointment and I was down a total of 12! My next appointment isn't until March, so we'll see how things pan out.
Now to ask Eleven questions:
1) What one item of clothing do you have that you absolutely refuse to throw out?
1) What one item of clothing do you have that you absolutely refuse to throw out?
Right now? Mostly sorority tee shirts. Some of them I don't even like, but I hope to one day have a quilt made with them.
2) What was the greatest gift that anyone ever gave you?
My aunt gave me a ring that belonged to my grandmother when I had my debutante ball. Overall, I think my parents allowing me to come out and doing everything they did for me be a part of that experience.
3) Who was your first celebrity crush?
Probably JTT. Who didn't love JTT?
4) What was your worst date ever?
Um, I don't really date. My life is pretty awkward. Not really wanting to talk about it, haha.
5) What is your one food guilty pleasure?
Just one?! French fries. Ultimate hangover food. Side dish of choice. I could eat them forever. With honey mustard dipping sauce.
6) Do you drink? What is your alcoholic drink of choice?
I do drink, though mostly socially. I have two favorites, one is a shooter and one a drink. My favorite shooter is called a Chuck Norris, and my favorite drink is a Green Dinosaur. However, if we're talking about what I drink regularly when I go out, mostly it tends to be a G&T or Blue Moon.
7) What was your favorite vacation?
My favorite vacation is the vacation I get to take every year over Fourth of July to see my extended family. It's so much fun and it's one of my favorite places to visit in the whole world.
8) What is one thing that people like that you just don't get the appeal of?
Ugh, Jersey Shore. So pointless. Such horrible attitudes.
9) What is your favorite tv show?
Archer. Hands down. I have a lot of shows I enjoy and my DVR is heaven sent, but Archer is just funny and so well done, plus, if you know me, and you know Archer, you know I love all the lacrosse references.
10) Do you sleep with a stuffed animal?
Haha, yes! Two, actually. Awkward? One is a big alligator which is on the far left side of my bed (when lying on it) and he stays there. My phone goes on top of him at night. The other is a ladybug that my big sister gave me. Sometimes he ends up all the way at the bottom of my bed, other times I wake up clutching him to my stomach (uh, symbolic? weird?). Neither one has a name (I was never good at that), but the gator is my high school mascot and the ladybug is my sorority mascot.
11) Are there any foods that you won't eat?
You know what I just cannot stand? Quiche. The whole idea of egg being what basically amounts to a pie grosses me out. Also, when I was in elementary school I threw up while eating those snack pretzels, Combos. Won't go near those. Also also, pickles. The worst thing ever was working at a restaurant and having to put pickles on every sandwich plate we served. So. GROSS. hnnnngh.
Alright. 11 questions.
1) What is your favorite genre of music and why?
2) What was your favorite book from childhood?
3) How about a book you really just didn't like (not necessarily from childhood)? Be honest, we all know that not all books are great. You read it and hated it, or couldn't even finish it.
4) Do you quote movies? How often? Which ones most frequently?
5) Do you collect anything? Are they on display? What made you start?
6) How would you describe your decor style? What is your favorite room in your house/apartment? If you don't have one, what room are you most looking forward to decorating when you do?
7) Do you like your handwriting? Do you believe that cursive should still be taught in school?
8) What is something in your life that you find yourself having to replace constantly, whether for extreme use, misplacing it, whatever.
9) What is one manner that you expect people to abide by?
10) For real, did you like high school?
11) What is something that has changing about you the most drastically from when you were younger/over time?
So instead of tagging 11 people, here is what I would like to try instead. I know you followers are out there, and that you read this bloggity blog of mine. SO I am asking that if you read this post, pick at least one (more if you want, but at least one) of these questions to answer. It can be one someone else has already answered. If (when? please?) you answer, I will respond back to you with my answer to the same question. Won't that be fun?? Kinda? ...maybe?
First - you don't get the Jersey Shore. I don't get peoples obsessions with macaroons. Seriously. There are like the new cupcakes.
ReplyDeleteI hate my handwriting. I can barely read it half the time.
And I don't quote movies, but I wish I could! I always try to remember ones I thought were funny and I can never do it!!! I would bet you do! My friend Joan is amazing at it!
