I'm A Winner!!

Back in August, I decided (after some serious back and forth) to enter a contest on Momentum of Failure's blog to win some sweet swag from StatusBro and Knot Belt Company. Complete side notes: 1) check out MoF blog for his 100 Days of Ties project, its pretty neat. 2) Nick Mannella, founder of  Knot Belt Company,  went to St. Lawrence University, where my brother went and my sister goes! Love it. 

Anyway.

The general gist of the contest was to share how you "bro out". I shared my story about summers with my cousins in Alder Creek-swimming, talking, drinking, fireworks, the works. It is something about my life that I love, and it really is such a family version of "bro-ing out". A couple weeks after I submitted my story, I received an email telling me I had won! I was shocked. Some of the stories people sent in, well, lets just say made my story look like that of a nun. That between the three groups they felt my story was so good, makes me feel even that more lucky and excited that I get to have these experiences with my extended family.

It took a little while, but I finally got my swag from Knot Belt Company and StatusBro, and I wanted to share my winnings with you all!
