Time: Killed

Some days I am bouncing back and forth, hightailing it location to location in my tiny-mobile rental car, and other days, like today, I hit up one or two in the morning then I have about 3 hours to kill before I can hit up the last visit and head back home (where ever that may be for the evening). Yeah. 3 hours, in a rando city. Since I am trying to cut back on one of my preferred method of time-killing otherwise known as shopping (one school I was at this morning suggested King of Prussia mall-insanity, I tell you!!), I have instead opted for other tried but true time killing opportunities

Location: Starbucks
Purchase of Choice: Extra Caramel Macchiato (because when they don't include enough caramel it tastes ick)
Time Killing Method: Internet surfing, email checking, keeping others from sitting.

Location: Panera
Purchase of Choice: 1/2 and 1/2 with Sierra Turkey Sandwich and Caesar Salad
Time Killing Method: Eat, eavesdrop, people watch, stare awkwardly at attractive businessmen eating lunch.

Location: Dunkin Donuts Drivethru
Purchase of Choice: Medium Iced Caramel Latte, no whipped cream and a sesame seed bagel toasted with cream cheese
Time Killing Method: Sitting in my car driving aimlessly, sitting in my car in the parking lot reading my "bodice ripper" novel I keep in the glove compartment

Location: Parking Lot
Purchase of Choice: none. No purchasing opportunities
Time Killing Method: Contemplating sleep, reading aforementioned boddice ripper novel, trying to look as un-sketchy as possible to avoid security/police attention.

Love it. Right now I am doing #1 while thinking about #3 and #4. I got my coffee, but I haven't had food yet today.

PS Tomorrow is my first flight evaaah. Get excited to hear all about my thoughts, feelings, observations, and life choices regarding this experience. Because it's probably a lot of fun hearing about a 23 year old possibly having a mini freakout than an 8 year old. The 8 year old is sad. The 23 year old is funny!!

  3. Ha! I do the same thing with killing time. Unfortunatly, I am usually in the ghetto part of NYC and just have to drive around the whole time. Sometimes I drive to nice parts to kill time. Or enter "Target" into my GPS and go shopping.
