First:
The concert. Ohhhh the concert!
The opening act was horrible. So lame. Kept calling the audience "mother f*ers" in an attempt to be cool. At one point they shouted, "Do you all like Madonna!?" then proceeded to play "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun", a tune by one Cyndi Lauper. Hilars. Fun Fact: on the back of the event staff shirt, they got the name of the band wrong.
Third Eye Blind was a.maz.ing. Soo good. They played every song I was hoping to hear. Milty got up on her boyfriend's shoulders at one point, and though we tried to convince her to crowd surf ("you'll get up to the front row if you do!!") she didn't have the guts to do it. Below I am including some video I took at the concert. Just snippets of songs, but so amazing.
Secondly:
The arrival of my new clothes.
Hooray! They arrived! The jeans fit like a dream, though unfortunately the straight leg is still too flared to fit in the boots without some sort of manipulation. I followed ms. MCW's method and used tall socks as opposed to my previously mentioned duct tape-even though I looked like a mess without the boots on, the socks kept the pants pulled tight. Even now, at the end of the day, there isn't much bunching around the knee. Happy Caroline!
The tunic top was a little bit more disappointing. I was expecting the material to be a bit thicker than it was, but I still have some one outfit possibility that I think can be pulled off with it. You win some, you lose some.
Third of All:
My chair.
I cannot for the life of me remember if I have mentioned anything about my chair, but in case no, a recap: Back in June (!!!) I went to a furniture store and fell in love with a chair, and made moves to purchase. They were super nice and let me basically do a layaway plan-with no specific end date. Just pay as I get money and when I pay it off, I get it! Well, it took me about 5 months, but I finally paid it off and last Friday they delivered it with literally no hassle. I pulled up right behind the delivery van, and it fit right through my door-a miracle considering I did ZERO measuring before I decided to buy it. So now I have my first grownup purchase. Next on the list: a new television.
Finally:
My life.
Things are roller coaster-y (I thought roller coaster was one word? no?) around here. Some days I am uber busy, and others I can't even find something to do if I try. I am working on my eating habits and contemplating joining the Y and possibly getting some tanning in (I KNOW, I KNOW so bad. But I feel deathly). I am going to attempt to get out to more events since I missed a lot while traveling, so tonight I am heading to a basketball game and possibly a play tomorrow night. My boss also told me that if I work tomorrow, he will give me off both Tuesday and Wednesday, so now I am thinking I don't have to fight the holiday rush (at least on the way down) and can leave Monday night/Tuesday morning for Maryland! I have an eyebrow wax appointment tomorrow, and I also have tentative permission to attend this coming spring's Alumni Weekend down at ye olde Alma Mater.
I think that wraps up errthing I was hoping to share as of late. Hope everyone has a fun weekend! Is anyone already on holiday? Can I be jealous?
xoxo
I am so glad my sock tip worked. I may be a genius. Haha! I actually think I learned that from another blogger. Why the hell I didn't think of it before is beyond me.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your chair purchase!
