Oh HI! July

Remember how, once upon a time, I would update this thing daily? And sometimes I had to restrain myself from posting multiple times a day? And now we go almost two weeks between posts?

Le. Sigh.

So what have I been up to? I...

...turned 24 with little fanfare other than forcing a coworker to go out with me and drunk tweeting up a storm.

...returned to Alder Creek for another year's family reunion, which involved the absolute last time I masquerade as a "kid" during pots and pans and two, yes two, games of titanic that left me bruised and half the lake ingested by yours truly.

...have gone to two Zumba classes and, despite feeling like a fool, am quite proud of my abilities to keep up, so to speak.

...spend a lot of my days on gchat learning lots about my friendies, as we are overwhelmed with the amount of work we don't have.

...received two invitations to two different bridal showers for my future SIL and am banging out the plans to try and make it to both, if possible.

...think I may be skee-daddling my booty back up north again this weekend-following the sunshine and water whenever it presents it tempting combination.

This summer is proving to be quite busy, despite the inactivity around the office (hazard of the trade). Between at least two weekends in Alder Creek and two weekend out of town for the showers, I am looking at a trip to NYC, a conference in Saratoga Springs, another shopping expedition for Boden, and who knows what else might present itself as time marches slowly on.

As usual, I will leave you with possibly futile promises of updates and things more interesting than random pop-ins that barely skim the surface.

Anything you want to know? Want me to talk about? Share! I'm totally in.

  1. Well, hi there! Haven't seen you in a while :) So glad to hear all is well.

I was just remarking to a friend today how busy summers have become. I remember when they seemed to last forever. And every afternoon I debated what I wanted to do that evening. Wherever did those days go?
