NYC Help

Hi Team!!!

I have a big favor to ask. I know some of you live/used to live in NYC, and plenty of you guys know people who do live/have lived in NYC as well.

Milty is doing a program through her school and will be living in NYC for her spring semester. She only gets a certain amount of $$ for food a month, and is kind of worried about stretching it. The program director talked about living in NYC and there being places to go where you can really make your dollar work for you, however, seeing as how none of us have ever lived in NYC, much less been there often (I've been there 3 times in my life. total.) we have no idea what they were talking about.

So here is where you all come in.

Where can she go? Any hints? tips? thoughts?

She will be living on the Upper East Side and working in Midtown? I guess? (see what I mean? really know nothing about this.)

Please, if you aren't sure, pass this on to people who might. I (and she) would really really appreciate it.

  1. What kind of places are you looking for- food stores or restaurants?

  2. I would tell her to go to Trader Joes in Union Square and stock up...shoot me an email and I will get a list together! But, I'm not very good at budgeting. Ha.
