Why I Dislike My Cable Company

When I first moved here, I am pretty sure I spent a good amount of time without cable and internet. Mostly because I was still waiting to break even $$ wise after the move. Then I got my cable and internet, and everything was hunky dory.

About a month ago, I got an offer to add DVR to my service for only $5 extra a month, and I jumped all over that business (of course, only after taking an informal twitter poll with the answer being a resounding, unanimous yes).

Hell has begun.

In the time that I've gotten my new box, I've had to call the company at least 4 times. My internet has stopped working, my DVR has messed up and not recorded things, and now my box refuses to work and keeping shorting out and rebooting itself, rendering me helpless and unable to watch television, including multiple football games (hello, Army v. Navy? Denver v. Chicago?? I MISSED TEBOW TIME!!!) and my newest favorite show Once Upon a Time. And I was so looking forward to this episode!

I've had technicians out to my apartment, and I am getting sick of it. I hate having to leave work because they can't just give me an appointment time and I can't request that they make me their first stop of the day (what's up, 8 am.) and I am sure I don't know what my boss thinks.

All I am asking, cable company, is that you get your sh*t together. I want to go back to when I never had to talk to you. ever.

Thank you.
