Got my swerve on in the kitchen yesterday while listening to a radio station out of Emerson University that plays A Cappella music for 3 hours straight on Saturdays and Sundays...
Destroyed my hand trying to cut the baguette.
But got them sliced and toasted in my toaster oven. Full disclosure? I opted for a toaster oven over a microwave, specifically because I wanted to be able to cook tuna melts. I only sometimes regret this choice.
All the ingredients. Used the entire thing of blue cheese, half the ranch, and about a fourth of the hot sauce. Quality.
Toasted baguette. Feeling talented.
I boiled the chicken, per my mother's suggestion. That was a gross process, cannot lie. The water was all filmy and stuff, but it made for easy shredding of the chicken, so overall a win.
Sauces mixed and ready for smothering
Right before going into the oven...
...and directly out of the oven!
This went over really well with the crowd, though the consistency was a bit runnier than I hoped for. Need to find a thicker blue cheese next time? And probably do a smidge better on the chicken shredding into smaller chunks.
Either way, cooking success!!
Hope everyone had a lovely weekend.
Boiling chicken is gross and it smells funny, but it does make shredding easy!
ReplyDeleteYum! That looks delish! I hope your hand is ok!
