Lifestyle Change, FTW

So someone I work with used to be a personal trainer. I knew this because of my "stalking-lite" capabilities, but really, its public knowledge to anyone who wants it. Not even like, FB public knowledge. On a fully accessible webpage public knowledge. So you know, no judgement. Unfortunately, I didn't know him, really, so I couldn't exactly just email him and be like, hey dude, we've never met, but hey, do me a favor.

In the past couple weeks, him and some of his colleagues have been coming down to our office for work stuff, so he and I have actually met now and have been talking when he's down here, and I decided to bite the bullet and ask-would he mind helping me out once every couple of weeks by working with me to come up with a new workout so my muscle don't get used to a workout/I don't get incredibly bored.

He readily agreed, and actually seems kind of excited about it, which makes me excited about the prospect of getting this going. And I'm not totally sure, but I think he is absolutely willing to work with me further than just workout plans every couple of weeks-he talked about the importance of what you eat and how you shop and stuff, so I am thinking (hoping!) that he might help me more than I thought.

I had to email him with the times that I'm available to workout and what I want from this (I don't want to call them goals) and I explained that there isn't quite an "end to reach" for this-no total of pounds I want to lose, no total inches I want to shed, no date that I am working towards. I want it to be a lifestyle change. Yes I want to lose weight and inches, and I want a lot of them to go away, but I don't want it to be just a short term thing. I want it to be a long term change.

On a side note, he told me that two years ago at this point, he weighed about 95 pounds heavier than he does now. I vote if he can do it, I can do it, and it makes me feel better that I will be working with someone who has done it.

yay!!
