Rex Manning Day!

I very excited for today because today I am driving down to Salem, Virginia to pick up my family's newest puppy, Kerny! She is a yellow lab puppy and is about 10 weeks old, and I am so happy! My friend ARD's neighbors son had a litter of puppies, and they couldn't find homes for them all in Mississippi before he was deployed, so his parents are bringing the puppies home tonight, and I get to go pick up Kerny tomorrow! The only thing that does not excite me about this trip is making the five hour drives there and back in two days. Five hour drives aren't long, but they aren't exactly short either. Usually it's just long enough for me to hate it.

Yesterday, my mom and I ended up doing a bunch of shopping with my sister, again. She is leaving for college in a week, and we are trying to get everything ready for her to leave. She had to work at 1, so my mom and I were left, and we went to Ulta, a pretty extensive hair/makeup store. They were running a special where if you buy $30 worth of fragrance, you get a free weekend bag. I had seen this ad in the catalog they send out, and had found a perfume I really liked, so I immediately went is search of it, only to find that they were completely out of it, besides the tester. I told my mom about the special, and she loved the idea-for my sister. So we bought a fragrance lotion that mom is saving for Christmas for my sister, and we got the weekend bag in pink and black houndstooth and its gorgeous. And I am a little jealous.
