Singing/Beatboxing Can Make Any Guy Attractive

I have been a singer for as long as I can remember, and was involved in choir and A Cappella groups through out high school and college. One of my favorite memories of high school was valentines day at school, because some of the all-boys schools in the area would send their A Cappella groups to the all-girls school to serenade girls, and vice versa. It was virtually impossible to conduct class, especially when the group was not from our brother school. Girls would leave the class and swarm outside of whatever room the boys were in. Cue swooning. My senior year, I was in the student run A Cappella group and got to go out to a bunch of the boys schools and sing to the guys. It was some of the most fun I've ever had singing.

One of my favorite things to do on Saturday and Sunday afternoons (when I remember) is to listen to live streaming of WERS on my iTunes. Out of Emerson College in Boston, they have an All A Cappella program on their station on these two afternoons from 2-5 pm, plus right before that is their program Standing Room Only, which features broadway music! I am a HUGE A Cappella music geek (side note: Who has seen the FOX show Glee?!?! Sept 9 the season officially premieres with a repeat of the pilot on Sept. 2) and my brother who lives in Boston told me about it and got me HOOKED. It's such a great way to explore new groups from obscure colleges, hear professional groups, and overall be amazed at the unimaginable talent of these singers and groups; male, female, or mixed. I have over 120 A Cappella songs on my iTunes, and it's one of my favorite genres to listen to. A couple of my favorite A Cappella groups include Exit 245 out of James Madison University (check out their version of Fix You), The Beelzebubs from Tufts University, and Juxtaposition from Virginia Tech. I promise you will be blown away.
