I Don't Wanna Work...

Can anyone finish that lyric? I hope so, haha.

One thing I try not to talk too much about on here is my job. I nervously mused during my search and after interviews, I exclaimed happily when I was offered the position, and if you really wanted to you could pretty easily figure out where I work and what I do. Some of you even know, since we're related/have discussed it outside of the blogosphere. Still, I like to pretend I maintain a certain level of privacy.

(This is not to say that I am going to share tons of personal and obvious pieces of info about my job now. I plan to stay just as "private" about my work as I have been. I was just introducing the post, because I am going to talk about work.)

Today I had multiple people ask me if I was feeling alright, because I looked not so great. My eyes were huge and red and puffy in such an unattractive way, and I kind of glazed through the day. Not so great. I also have been put in charge of some important events this fall, so I started really getting stuff together for it, and its crazy. I leave to start travel next Tuesday, and there's a good amount of stuff to get done before then-I volunteered to come in for a little on Saturday as well, so maybe I can get some stuff done then as well.

One cool thing that we are doing is before we leave for travel we are supposed to exchange "good luck on travel" gifts with a coworker. I got our newest girl in the office (she started 2 days ago-and she leaves to travel on Monday-crazy) and I am thinking about getting some romance novels and magazines and such as sort of a boredom buster kit-not that she'll have much down time during travel, but it will be fun and cute. Maybe some nail polishes?

Most insane for me is that in less than a month I will be taking my first flight ever for work. I am not experiencing as much anxiety over the flight aspect as I am over the airport stuff aspect. Getting in and out of the airports. Dealing with layovers. You know how there are people that help the children flying by themselves (or something...aren't there people like that!?) I plan to find one of them immediately and demand they hold my hand through the entire process. Not literally. But actually.

And finally, to cap off this slightly random post-there is an assistant men's lax coach position open. Anyone know anyone?
