I think weddings are great. People are having fun, the couple looks fabulous, the parents are so excited and everyone tries to enjoy themselves.
In theory.
In actuality, sometimes its a little harder. I love my cousin, and her husband(!!!!) and her friends are wonderful, but I don't really know them. They all are there and some have their plus ones, and they all know each other and its hard to break into that. I have my brother and sisters, but Milt and Liz left early and Rick has his fiancee.
I think its just hard when you know, but not really know, the people there. I ended up dancing a lot with my cousins under 10.
I don't know.
It was really fun, I ended up getting my own hotel room, I got to see family, but I feel like sometimes weddings have such stigma and high expectations that it can be hard to meet.
Am I just approaching this wrong somehow? Is it different between family v. friend weddings?
On the other hand, I plan to FB stalk and friend all these peeps. Because I am scary like that sometimes.
xoxo.
I have not been to a "family" wedding in YEARS! Always have a blast at friends weddings and have a cousin's next year. I know it will not be as fun. I may have to bring a date even if I am not with anyone.
