To Be Honest With You...

Ok well, I only had two of you ask me questions, but I am still going to answer them, because 1) I said I would 2) both of the people who asked questions are people I like and want to make happy and 3) they are good, meaningful questions! Yay!

MCW from Saving the Best for Last asked: Do you have friends that live close to you? I know you moved for your job! If not...is it hard to meet new ones?

When I moved up here, I didn't know anyone! I had decided pretty early in my job search that I was willing to move anywhere-it seemed like this was the time in my life when I would be able to do so. When I started, there was another girl in my office around my age, so she introduced me to people and I began to make friends...then she left to go to Grad School and the other girl around my age was only 10-month. So over the summer I spent a lot of time in Alder Creek with my family. But now there are a couple more people around my age that work with me, and I have been going out more. I'm also a pretty outgoing person and work in a job that kind of requires you are outgoing, so I am meeting lots of people while I travel and hope to have "road friends." In fact, I think I already have one! We have been at two of the same events so far and I know we'll be at more together!

I think one of the hardest things is that where I live is such a small town, and there isn't really a "young professional" scene. The only people really around my age are the other employees at the schools, and there aren't that many of us. Eventually I hope to move to a town with some people I went to college with and/or a larger population.

Hi Mommy. I think I am ok. I think I could be happier, but I'm not sad. There are things that could be better, but I like the people in my office, I like the people I've met so far and its kind of the same as above. There aren't a lot of people, not a lot to do in town. I don't know. I miss my friends, but I have friends here. Blah blah blah. Always the same old same old. Love you mommy.
