While driving home from my 1.5 mile workout (week total so far: 4 miles. Can I get to 15 by the end of the week?) I passed a dad, running up a hill, pushing a stroller. All I could think was, "you go dad."
The weekend with my brother and FSIL was lovely, minus a smidge of extended family dramz. All I can say is, when third cousins are considered "close family," things can get a little touchy. But the lake time was amazing, and I made a Caprese Salad. Let me just say, I could make a plate of that and it be an entire meal. And I could probably eat it for at least 2 weeks straight without getting sick of it. That good, in my opinion.
If you follow me on le twitter (french for: the twitter) you know that in the past three weeks, three of my sorority sisters have gotten engaged, the most recent announcement being yesterday. One of these girls is a year older than me and has been dating her now fiancee for I don't know how many years, but the other two are recent graduates (two years younger than me). I feel things starting to click and tick in my body. Even though that is kind of ridiculous (hola, only 23, though soon to be 24) and maybe a teeny bit irrational, it's starting to creep into my mind...that things should be speeding up and should be in a different place by now. I'm aware this is kind of silly.
Soon, I will discuss with you all my newest "grownup" purchase and why it might soon become a habit. Which could be both wonderful for me and scary for my wallet. And eventually, we'll talk about my crummy hip and how much I hate it right now.
I think a bird just flew into my window.
23 is really really young to get engaged. Wow. You are just where you need to be :) Don't you worry...
