Long Days Can End Well.

Today was such a horrifically long day, and I don't know why. 

That's a lie, I do know why, because I had an 8 hour shift at work. 

Woke up this morning to find that Bisby had destroyed 2 of my mother's library books and one of her favorite sweaters. That, however, is what mom gets for leaving the dogs closed in her room when she left for work. Showered, lost the dogs, did my hair, found the dogs, went to work, forgot that Jefferson is on Mount Rushmore, died a little at work, talked to my youngest sister on my break, died a little more, then my shift ended.

Two awesome things happened at this point in my night. The first: I bought my first pair of shoes since starting work!

They are Ditto by Van Eli, and I got them for a little over $50! They are adorable and I kind of love them to bits. As someone who suffers from FCS (fat calf syndrome, ha!) I am ok with the whole ankle boot trend.

I just think they are fabulous.

The second awesome thing that happened: As I walked out of my store, I turned to walk to my car and saw two of my friends from college! One is a friend that I actually went to high school with, but he was 3 years older than me, and the other was one of my sorority sisters! She was up visiting him for the evening because she was in Northern VA for the week and they were really good friends at school. OH MY GOSH! Plus! Another girl I went to college with apparently works in my little mall! Granted, tomorrow is her last day of work, haha, but still. We talked for a while and then went back to his apartment and watched "Dumb and Dumber." So wonderful.

And now, I am exhausted and hopefully going to pass out.
