-FOOD!!! Oh my gosh the oysters were so so good! My uncle made Oysters Ceviche and they were so fresh with a big kick at the end-you could not stop going back for more! And my other uncle's stew was amazing! I had 3 cups of it. What? It kept me warm...
On the drive home today I (WARNING: overshare moment) got my...ahem...monthly visitor and I spent the ride home alternating between riding out my cramps and sleeping. Not so great. And the Ravens lost to the Patriots, 27-21. Apparently, we had the ball on the Patriots 20-yard line on a fourth-and-three and Flacco threw a perfect pass to Clayton for the first down and he just missed it, completely, giving the Patriots possession and the knee. UGH. Dear Tom Brady-You might be my fanstasy football QB, but you are a tool and I kind of abhor your team. love, me.
On a more fun note-I totally learned a new game this weekend, and its really fun! It's called Celebrity. You divide into two even teams and everyone gets a couple slips of paper (we played with three slips, but for smaller groups or longer games, go more!) and writes down a different celebrity on each slip. They can be anyone-one of mine was Jessica Rabbit, another was Cruella Deville. Get creative, it makes it more fun. Fold all the slips and put them in a hat. Then each group takes turns-in the first round, one player from each team has a minute to use any words (except the name on the paper) to get their teammates to guess the celebrity. You can't pass-if you get stuck, you have to keep trying. When the team gets it, move on to another slip. Once the minute is up, someone from the other team goes, and you switch back and forth until all the slips are gone, then you add up the points. The team that is losing starts the next round-all the slips go back into the hat, and this time the person drawing the names can only use three words total (once again, besides the name on the slip) to get their teammates to guess the celebrities. Add up the points again, then the final round is charades to get them to guess. The three rounds make up the game, and we played three games.
This game is hilarious. You don't realize it, but you start doing different actions to get your point across. For example, one girl was doing a charade for Cruella Deville-she mimed petting a puppy, breaking its neck, then putting on a coat. Everyone knew the character was in the hat, so they IMMEDIATELY knew who it was! So horrible, but so funny. Another example, in the first round, someone pulled Susan Sarandon and when describing her, said she had done exercise videos. This was wrong information, but it was used in the second and third round to get the teams to guess. Its less about describing the celebrity and more about what will trigger your memory to remember the celebrity's name.
I am working every day this week except tomorrow, so hopefully its a relaxing day. I do have body pump though! Time to jump back on the exercise wagon. Night everyone!
