No lie, its a pretty sad list. I am thinking I should probably be a little more up to date on national/international happenings...but today I have learned that:
1) Jon Gosselin has to put 180k back into his shared bank account with Kate.
2) Jake is going to be the new bachelor.
3) The 6-year-old child who took a folding camp utensil to school is only going to get 3-5 days suspension instead of being forced to go to a school for uhh...disagreeable? children.
4) One of the two men who kipnapped and robbed two teens at a light rail stop and raped one last year was sentenced to 40 years in jail with the possibility of parole after 20 years.
5) The Senate finance committee? was voting on the health care reform bill today. I should probably find out if that worked out...
In other news: At work today a kid I haven't seen/talked to since...8th grade came in. For once, someone recognized me first! I am really weird about remembering people from way long ago in my life, so I was shocked that he was the one it clicked for first. He was really nice, and it was cool talking to him after so long. He is a nurse! Way cool.
And a final thought: I am not going to go too much into it for a couple reasons, but I think I may have found a really good program to get involved in. It wouldn't start until next year and I haven't even applied yet, but hopefully its something that will turn out good and as time goes on I will share more. Just, you know...send out some general good vibes in my direction?
