Kill The Cravings.

I need HELP!!!

I am trying to eat "better" now that I have my own apartment and am doing everything for myself. Thats a great reason to not settle for pizza and junky junk food. I am really excited about things like individually packaged chicken breasts and salmon filets. I try and keep okay snacks around (pretzels instead of chips, for example) and thats not so bad either. But now, I have a problem.

What do you eat to get you through the sweets cravings?!

I am trying really hard to not bring a lot of cookies, ice cream, chocolate, whatever into the apartment. But that doesn't work so well, because then eventually the craving gets so strong I go out and completely sweets-binge.

I was at the grocery store earlier and I was thinking maybe things like Special K bars, or that chocolate cereal they have. Any other suggestions? Any tips or tricks? Maybe strawberries or cantaloupe? I have no idea, and I really don't need another night of massive attack of java chip frappachino ice cream, no matter how good it was at the time.

  2. You are the same as me! I have sweets cravings all the time. I get the Propel drink packets and make myself some Propel when I get a craving, and I also try to munch on some yogurt and granola. Also, buy Dannon's Strawberry Yogurt Drinks (they're near Activa in my Kroger). I blogged about them before and they're ahhh-mazing!

  3. P.S. A healthy snack is to buy a whole-wheat tortilla, add peanut butter, sprinkle granola, honey, and a dash of cinnamon. Also, you can add sliced bananas. YUM!
