Big Things Are Happening!

1) So I think that my interview went well! A lot of what was talked about really resonated with me and I think some of what I said resonated with them too, and I think this would be a good match for me. I got to see the coach and thank him, and I am hopefully going to hear back next Friday. My good friend and sorority sister SH had a phone interview last night, and they called her today and offered her the position! I am so excited and proud of her, and I am hoping that some of that rubs off on me.

2) MY BROTHER IS ENGAGED!!! I was driving home last night when my mom called to tell me. He and his girlfriend actually got engaged Wednesday night, but it was way late by the time they calmed down enough to make phone calls (apparently she made him do it twice, as she was crying through the first time-cute!) and yesterday morning he had to go to work, so they had to wait until last evening to officially announce it. I can't believe, there she was encouraging me about my interview when she had this big news!! Haha, I totally understand.

Apparently, however, my brother has been planning this since Christmas, and didn't tell anyone but my aunt! My aunt has had my paternal grandmother's ring for him (he is the only grandson) and he got it from her over Christmas and asked her not to tell anyone! You sneaky people, you! I couldn't be more excited. When I talked to him last night it occurred to me to say, "Rick! You are a fiancee now!" and he replied, "yup, I'm French!" Aw.
