Tuesday Night/Wednesday/Thursday

The continuance of my week last week, this is the fun stuff!

So anyways, got the shovel, and came home as the snow began to fall and stick. The decision came down from mommy that she wanted me to leave early if I was going downtown, so we decided that I wouldn't go to boxing (sad face for not seeing my friend boxing boy, but the class turned out to be cancelled anyway) and I drove out to the Light Rail to take it into town to stay with HD. Ummmm horrible experience, haha. The train stopped about 6 stops before mine, and we (all the passengers) had to wait outside in the snow for about 20-30 minutes waiting for the other train to come and take us in. So. Cold.

I got downtown to HD's and we finally decided we were going down to Federal Hill with our friends from last week. We walked for about two minutes then found a cab that took us the rest of the way, wandered around a little lost for about 5 minutes (does it bother anyone else when a cabbie asks you for directions?), and finally caught up with everyone. And since we were meeting up with everyone from last week, that meant everyone, including homeboy who I gave my number to and he gave me his and I tried but no communication was ever made.

Things were fine, and fun. Homeboy and I kind of politely ignored each other except for general pleasantries, and HD and I made friends with some guys who bought us Cali Car Bombs (so yummy-raspberry and orange vodka in a shot glass, drop into a 1/2 glass of red bull, chug.) and were pretty interesting to talk with. They tried to get us to go with them to get pizza, but that would've been a bad choice, haha. Everything was pretty awesome-there were so many people out and it was like when you are in middle school and there's a snow day-except instead of sledding everyone was drinking.

As the night slowed down, a creeper dude started hitting on HD hardcore, and BW and I had to do some serious....saving. BW was pulling HD away to dance, and I was running interference when he asked if she had a boyfriend and was trying to get close again. This started the major awkwardness-homeboy started getting really close and into HD. And it was kind of...not very fun. I am understanding and aware of if you are not interested in someone. But it's not fun to know that and watch them get into someone else, and someone that you are close with. And it continued for the rest of the night-as we were walking to get back to the hotel, he was holding her hand and hugging her all over the place and offering for us to stay at his house. I don't know. Hard.

Wednesday was spent all day in bed, haha. There was really nothing we could do, the snow was raining down, so I watched all the activity outside. People! There were people cross-country skiing up the city street!! Only emergency vehicles were allowed on the roads, it was intense. We ate dinner with HD's coworkers that were still in the hotel. That was an adventure in itself. Finally after watching some Bear Grylls we hit the sack.

My adventure on Thursday was intense. HD's coworkers called around 9:30 saying they wanted to leave by 10:30, so we had to pack it up. I had everything pretty together, so I said goodbye to head out. The valet got my a cab, and told the cab driver I was headed to the Light Rail stop. Only after we pulled away from the curb and began to head in that direction did he tell me that the Light Rail wasn't running. UM WHAT? He told me he could take me out to my car, but that would've been a $65 dollar cab ride. I called my parents freaking out and finally decided to go to my aunt and uncle's house on the outskirts of the city-my cousin lives in the city but we didn't know her telephone number. I spent half the cab ride on the phone making sure I was ok to go, and still had a $22 cab ride. I had to walk down the side road to my A&U's house, as the cab couldn't go down the snow covered road. I was so not happy.

I love my A&U, so I was excited to see my aunt. We talked for a while and had lunch (she was there when I got my phone call for my interview!) and started to watch Up, which I am a little sad I missed the second half, it was really cute. Daddy finally dug out of our house and came to pick me up and take me to the car. We got some groceries at Wegmans and got something to eat at Panera, and it was so nice to come home. And then go back out to work on Thursday night, haha.

I like getting out and meeting people and having fun. I wish that I had the opportunity to do it more often...
