My Music Friday

This week I am bringing you a song from my sister. She always has so much music that I have never even heard of, so I am constantly burning CD's from her computer. Though I am hoping with this new Home Sharing thing iTunes has going on I will be able to access it much more readily...we'll see.

I digress.

I am kind of liking/kind of disliking this new trend of using other/older songs in new songs. I kind of touched on it when I brought you all "Whatcha Say" by Jason Derulo, but there seems to be a lot more with a lot more older songs, and this is one of them. Its cool that they can rework the songs, but then I have moments where I could punch the artist. For example, I know it was a huge hit, but I cannot stand Kid Rock's "All Summer Long." Everytime it starts I think it's Warren Zevon's "Werewolves of London" and then its not and I am totally disappointed. That and people seem to think that he only sampled from "Sweet Home Alabama" which makes me sad for them.

But anyways, this is one that I like! It's pretty suave sounding, very mellow for its genre, kind of a nice cruising song. "Young Forever" by Jay-Z.
