First of all, it was Pay Day today, for both of my part-time jobbos! The preschool pays me bi-weekly (when I work) and the store pays me weekly, so every two weeks I get a like a gift! Especially since the preschool work is very sporadic, I had worked a lot the past few weeks so it was a nice sum to supplement everything. Not only that, but my direct deposit information went through for the store, so now it will be in on Fridays, and I am officially taking a big(ish) step towards saving, with 25% of my paychecks alloted to a separate bank account that I am going to try my darnedest not to touch.
My mom works at a school, and today they were having their annual Christmas Bazaar, and she was selling her jewelry so I went to support her, and she did really well! Especially since the event was only about 2 hours long, I thought she did really well. Her best friend was also there to help her, and it was nice to catch up. Plus she told me how good I looked and insisted I had lost lot of weight! Always nice to hear, ha. Afterwards we went to a (very) early dinner, and then came the fabulosity (which, by the way since blogger isn't spell checking it, is a word).
Mommy took me into New York and Company to look at some tunics I had seen online and I really liked. I tried one on and it wasn't quite flowy enough to work, but then I had grabbed a cute cowl neck sweater! The size I grabbed was too big and the color wasn't right, so mommy grabbed a SMALLER! size (granted these things are like, meant to big and bulky) in a nice grey, and it was sooo comfy and warm!!
I was wearing it with jeans, and it looks so nice, and she is picking it up tomorrow (she forgot a coupon). It's not long enough on me to just be worn with leggings, though, which I would've loved. Especially since afterwards we went to my work and got me my Christmas boots!!
I apologize for the shoddy quality of the picture. I am so excited for these! Yes, I have to wait until Christmas, but OH MY GOSH! I am in love. I fell in love with them about a week and a half ago at work, they fit my calves!! They are really comfy and look good with black leggings (you can kind of see in the picture) so I am just overwhelmed.
My boss put me on register tonight, and I was up there with two of my favorite coworkers, and it was just so much fun tonight. I love when it's not too busy, and I am starting to feel a little bit more like I belong. When I got home, I checked my email, and had one back from a job I applied to telling me they were going to start interviewing in January, so I have that to look forward to as well!
I know a lot of what I mentioned here is kind of shallow and very surface happiness, but really, I promise, it isn't that way for me. Its not just about getting a new sweater or boots, but its about the confidence that I get and the positive way I feel about myself when I can look at myself and think good things. Just...it was one of those days where it felt like everything went right and everything came up the way I wanted, needed it to do.
