I have been picking my mom up from work for the past couple of days while I am at home doing nothing and her car is in the shop. Today was the first day of classes (mom works at my high school in the middle school[does that make sense??]) and she told me all about the day, which of course included the first prayers of the year! Every prayers and chapel we sang a hymn. This morning's was the the school alma mater, and my mother and I sang it in two part harmony. Then I went on to completely reminisce about all the hymns we sang in prayers that I could remember, then had trouble remembering my college alma mater (4 months out and I can't even remember how it starts...oh wait...rock me mama like a wagon wheel...that wasn't it?), sang the elementary school alma mater, and then we continued on singing songs from our respective sororities (Alpha Sigma Alpha and Delta Gamma represented so far in the immediate family...wondering where Milty will end up- Chi Omega, Tri Delt, Kappa Kappa Gamma...or will she go local? We have a year to find out). Overall a great, song filled ride home that made me miss high school, college, and my amazing sorority sisters.
Razzle Dazzle Dalpha!
We're Alpha Sigma Alpha!
