Sunday? Funday!

So I just got back from a mini shopping trip with my mom, and I am one happy camper, even if I didn't buy much of anything. We went to Target to buy stuff for a care package for Milty, because apparently she is the only on who hasn't received one, so we're gonna go ahead and jump off that bridge. However, while mommy was shopping for her, I went browsing for myself and my continued attempt to grow my professional wardrobe.

The first is a really cute purple dress that hits right below my knee and has a very flattering neckline. I think it's probably supposed to be more of a "party dress" but I think it works for work.

Next, I found a great trench coat that I love the pattern, and is a good thing to have around for when it starts to get colder.

I also found a nice V-neck cardigan. I do not own a lot of cardigans, but I do own a lot of dresses and tops that will need one as we approach the fall and winter, so that collection really needs to start growing.

And finally, I found a pair really cute flats that would be great with khakis or my black slacks. I know I need more pants as well, so really, this is a giant work in progress, to say the very very least. I actually don't think those are the ones I tried on, but, it's pretty close.

So those were my fashion finds of the day. I am pretty much in l.o.v.e. with the Merona Collection at Target.

After target we went to Greetings and Readings, where I bought (drumroll

The newest Gossip Girl (The Carlyles) book!! I know, I know, these books are for teens, and I am definitely past that point, but they are so good! They are my brain candy. Plus, I figure if you can watch the show, you can read the books. This series picks up after B, S, N, and everyone else has left for college, and the Carlyle family moves from Nantucket into B's old apartment. If you haven't read this series, or any of Cecily Von Ziegesar's books, I highly recommend them, especially if you watch the series. Not only does she have the original GG books (with a prequel book about why S left!), she also has a spin-off series about Little J (who in the books is asked to leave Constance), and this series as well. I die!

Finally, we went to Panera for Caesar salads, and got home just in time for my to watch my Ravens beat the Kansas City Chiefs! Love me some Flacco and Hauschka!

Now if you will excuse me, I am off to read my new book tonight so it can go in Milty's care package tomorrow!
